Wow, what a weekend!

Our first fall retreat was AMAZING! We all packed up on Friday and headed to Grantsburg, Wisconsin for the weekend. It was exactly what a fall retreat should be: a rustic cabin on the lake, amazing fall colors, a group of your favorite friends, and God touching hearts in so many ways.

The services we had on Saturday and Sunday were really impacting and got a lot of us thinking. We focused on how to connect, grow, and go. Learning practical ways about how to better connect with others, grow in our relationship with God, and serve those around us enabled each of us to look at our daily lives in a new way and make positive changes.

Beyond the services, we also had a lot of time to just relax and hangout with each other. Whether we canoed, hiked, sat by the bonfire, or visited the local coffee shop for a much needed cup of joe, it was so meaningful to just spend time with friends and get away from all of the pressures a busy life can bring.

Last, but certainly not least, there is one story from retreat that must be shared . . . On our way home, a few of us got the chance to witness Jeremy spontaneously jump out of his truck and run through a field after a huge flock of geese. It was absolutely PRICELESS! Let’s just say it brings a whole new meaning to the phrase “on a wild goose chase”!

If you didn’t get a chance to join us on this retreat, make sure you plan on joining us for our spring retreat. It’s gonna’ be incredible!!
