Thinking back on when the group started, I don't think anyone really knew what was going to come out of it. We just knew there was a group of people who needed something beyond Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Looking back on where we were and where we are, so much has changed and yet I still have that same desire, to fill that gap between the Youth Groupers and the 30-somethings.
The Third Place has been more than just a hangout for me the past year. It's such a huge part of my life and I cannot express how much I adore everyone who has been a part of it. Even when I don't think I want to be around people, hanging out, walking, talking, being crazy (sometimes downright silly) with my Third Place family always cheers me up.
I have so many fond memories with the people in this family. Memories that range from playing Rock Band until 4 in the morning to cooking breakfast in a 5'x7' kitchen with 6 other people. I can't think of a better group of people to spend a weekend in Duluth with or a day at the Science Museum. Who else could I hangout at the carnival and then watch fireworks with....two nights in a row?
